SAFETY PROGRAMME
Our Food Safety Programme consists
of both a HACCP plan and Good Manufacturing
Practice (GMP) Manuals.
Our HACCP plan is audited annually
by Agriquality New Zealand.
We are an Agriquality New Zealand Approved
Supplier to all New Zealand supermarkets.

QUALITY
Additional to our Food safety programme
we operate a product and service assurance
program to ensure every aspect of product
quality, service and experience is managed
and maintained to the highest standards.
ENVIRONMENTAL
PATHOGEN MONITORING
Since the 15th February 2000 Genoese has
swabbed the factory on a weekly basis for
Listeria and Salmonella. On a monthly basis
we test the water quality for aerobic micro-organisms,
Coliforms and E.coli; and air quality for
yeasts, moulds and fungi.
PRODUCT
TESTING
Genoese applies the Ministry of Health (1995)
Microbiological Reference Criteria for Food
Standard 5.8(b) to our products. We have
the capacity to test products for pH (on
site), Water Activity (on site) and
micro-organisms (external lab).
The external IANZ Accredited lab we use
is Biostandards in Wellington.
The micro-organisms that are routinely tested
for are:
> Coliforms, >E.coli, >Aerobic
Plate Count.
We test for other micro organisms if required
by the customer.
CERTIFICATE
OF ANALYSIS
Genoese will provide a Certificate of Analysis
for products supplied when requested by
the customer. All products manufactured
are tested on a scheduled basis.
GENOESE’S
PROCESSING FACILITY
Genoese’s products are manufactured
in a temperature controlled environment
that has a filtered air supply and positive
air pressure.
UNCONDITIONAL
GUARANTEE
All our Pestos and Tapenades are freshly
made using premium ingredients and authentic
recipes. Quality and your satisfaction are
important to us. We will gladly replace
any product not to your satisfaction.
